UL Solutions’ third quarter results were positively received by the market, reflecting a combination of organic growth and disciplined execution across its business segments. Management attributed the quarter’s strong performance to double-digit growth in certification testing, robust demand in materials, energy and automation, and operational improvements that lifted profitability. CEO Jenny Scanlon highlighted that “organic revenue growth accelerated to 7%, the highest level in six quarters,” with ongoing productivity improvements and pricing initiatives supporting margin expansion. The company also pointed to the successful integration of recent acquisitions and the divestiture of lower-growth businesses as key contributors to its resilient financial performance.
Looking forward, UL Solutions’ guidance is shaped by continued investment in AI-driven certification capabilities, expansion of its lab network, and further portfolio optimization. Management emphasized that sustained demand for independent testing—particularly in data center and energy-related sectors—will be a major growth driver, while ongoing productivity initiatives and selective acquisitions are expected to support margin improvement. CFO Ryan Robinson noted, “We expect to continue to benefit from increasing product complexity, evolving safety requirements, and the need for independent testing and certification as customers introduce new innovations.” The company remains focused on integrating recent acquisitions, including Eurofins E&E, and leveraging its global presence to capture emerging opportunities in safety science and regulatory compliance.
Management attributed third quarter revenue and margin gains to strong demand for certification testing, operating leverage in core segments, and targeted investments in lab capacity and new services.
Management’s outlook emphasizes growth from expanding certification needs in emerging technologies and continued operational improvement through portfolio optimization and productivity initiatives.
