Excelerate Energy’s year was shaped by concrete moves, not just headlines. One anchor was the nine month charter of the new Excelerate Acadia FSRU to Jordan, expected to add around US$20 million of adjusted EBITDA in 2026 while the Iraq terminal slipped to 2027. Holding Excelerate Energy over the past year would have returned 38.6%, including dividends. If you were deciding back on 3 November 2025, what would you have needed to believe about those projects and contracts to act?
A Narrative on Simply Wall St is one investor's written case for a company, with its growth, margin and multiple assumptions spelled out. Those assumptions imply an estimated Fair Value.

The shares cost US$25.56 at the start of the period. Anyone looking at Excelerate Energy then had to choose which future seemed more reasonable, not which one was guaranteed.
The bullish Caribbean LNG Expansion view put Fair Value at US$33.55, 31% above the start price. That case leaned on more than 90% of adjusted EBITDA sitting in long term take or pay contracts that were expected to support future margin stability.
The more cautious Global LNG Headwinds angle set Fair Value at US$23, 10% below the start price. That story focused on the risk that heavy Caribbean growth capex and long term LNG commitments could struggle if renewables adoption and decarbonization policies advanced faster than expected.
The key development for Excelerate Energy was Q2 2026 performance, with revenue at US$329.3 million and net income at US$12.1 million, both higher than Q2 2025, and net margin moving from 2.3% to 3.7%. That tilt in profitability supported the bullish focus on contract-backed earnings, while mixed EPS outcomes and Iraq delays kept the cautious case alive. Overall, the evidence cut both ways.
The lesson to carry elsewhere is simple. When a story leans on contracted cash flows and new infrastructure, test it against two figures each year: net margin direction, and whether guidance for those projects actually gets pulled forward or pushed back.
Excelerate Energy now trades at US$35.13 after a 38.6% gain over the past year. The selected Narrative places its Fair Value above the current price, based on a view that contracted LNG infrastructure earnings and scarce FSRU capacity remain underappreciated.
The argument leans on tight global FSRU supply, high Jamaica reliability, and a defined project queue. The key question for a buyer today is whether Excelerate can keep executing integrated LNG projects while holding net leverage around present levels.
"The current valuation implies the market is discounting Excelerate Energy’s contracted EBITDA guidance, tight FSRU positioning, and Caribbean hub potential, and is pricing the stock as if these advantages will not be fully reflected in future cash flows."
