The Zhitong Finance App learned that Citibank released a report saying that the bank revised the DRAM (dynamic random access memory) and NAND (flash memory) supply and demand forecasts to reflect financial reports for the third quarter of 2026 and recent market trends. It is expected that the storage market will continue to be in short supply in 2027.

The bank said that given that global storage vendors such as Samsung (Samsung) and Hynix (Hynix) raised their bit growth (bit growth) guidelines, the DRAM supply and demand gap is expected to narrow from -8.7% to -3.8% in 2027 due to rising supply guidelines and weak consumer NAND demand.

Despite this, due to strong growth in server DRAM and enterprise solid-state drive (eSSD) demand (expected to increase 53% and 52% year over year in 2027), storage demand still exceeds new supply; currently, the storage supply and demand fulfillment ratio (S/D fulfillment ratio) remains at around 70%.
