On November 3, the Chengdu Statistics Official WeChat released news that in the first three quarters of 2026, the gross domestic product of the Chengdu metropolitan area was 2443.29 billion yuan, an increase of 4.9% over the previous year, and the total economy accounted for 46.9% of the province. Among them, Chengdu's gross domestic product was 19421.9 billion yuan, an increase of 5%, accounting for 79.5% of the metropolitan area; Deyang's gross domestic product was 257.43 billion yuan, an increase of 4.2%; Meishan's gross domestic product was 156.62 billion yuan, an increase of 5.8%; and Ziyang's gross domestic product was 87.05 billion yuan, an increase of 5.3%.
