The Zhitong Finance App learned that Chery Auto (09973) rose more than 3%. As of press release, it had risen 2.62% to HK$23.54, with a turnover of HK$574.32 million.

According to the news, on October 30, Chery announced its results for the third quarter of 2026. The CICC Research Report indicated that Chery's third-quarter results were in line with this forecast. 3Q26 had revenue of 97.954 billion yuan, +33.76% year on month, and +26.54% month on month; net profit to mother was 5.396 billion yuan, +15.79% year over month, and +22.72% month over month. 3Q26's gross profit margin was 16.3%, +1.2ppt/month-on-month. CICC believes that the performance was particularly outstanding against the backdrop of continued pressure on raw material costs in the third quarter and the gross margin of most car companies falling month-on-month. Growth in scale and structural improvements hedged this pressure.

CICC also said that Chery recently released the “Yaoguang 2035 Technology Strategy” to continue improving the electrification and intelligent technology layout to provide support for improving product competitiveness in the medium to long term. Looking ahead to 4Q26, exports are expected to support the steady improvement of the company's profits; the company will guide a 20% increase in sales and profit in 2027, and plans to accelerate EU territorial construction and promote collaboration between domestic and foreign organizations, which is expected to improve operational efficiency and better cope with changes in trade policies.
