FTAI Aviation just posted its Q3 2026 scorecard and the stock immediately slid 4.5% to about US$187. That single day move tells you more about nerves than numbers. The headline is simple. The aircraft lessor and engine specialist delivered roughly US$978 million of revenue and about US$1.45 in basic earnings per share, yet traders treated the print as a reason to cash in recent gains.
What really matters here is valuation strain. This is a business on a P/E near 37x with a balance sheet carrying around US$3.5b of debt. That mix is exactly where sentiment is now being tested.

They booked 100+ Mod-1 units before full production even starts. Ask Charlie what will make FTAI Aviation’s Power ramp succeed.
Optimists argue that FTAI Aviation can replace a leasing heavy model with a broader, higher margin engine and power platform.
"A key requirement for this view is that FTAI Aviation continues to execute on CFM56 and V2500 aftermarket share gains, Mod-1 turbine deployment, and SCI capital formation while keeping leverage in the 2.3x to 2.7x range and funding dividends and buybacks from recurring free cash flow."
The quarter moves that checklist forward. Aerospace Products hit record revenue and EBITDA, CFM56 module output is on track for the 1,200 target, Mod 1 secured over 100 units plus US$234m of deposits, SCI funds are fully or partly committed, and net leverage is around 2.2x while dividends and a US$500m buyback proceed from internal cash generation.

The bear worry is simple. If FTAI Aviation cannot turn big Power promises into earnings, the whole 2027 bridge looks stretched.
"Although FTAI Power has secured a joint venture in Mod 1 packaging and a US$1.465b master supply agreement with a leading hyperscaler that includes advance and milestone payments, management has already trimmed 2026 adjusted free cash flow guidance from US$915 million to US$878 million due to accelerated Mod 1 build out and extra R&D."
Q3 confirms this pressure. Power is still a cost center, with start up expense inside corporate and a higher full year growth capex budget. Deposits of US$234m help, yet the cut to 2026 adjusted free cash flow guidance remains in place, so cash conversion is already bending to fund the turbine ramp.
