AstraZeneca Plc (NASDAQ:AZN) shares are trading higher Friday after the drugmaker reported third-quarter results that topped analyst estimates and reaffirmed its full-year guidance.

What To Know: AstraZeneca reported third-quarter core earnings of $2.79 per share, beating the consensus estimate of $2.59. Total revenue of $16.21 billion beat the $16.03 billion estimate and rose 7% year-over-year at constant exchange rates.

For the first nine months of the year, total revenue increased 7% and core earnings per share rose 14%, both at constant exchange rates, with double-digit growth in oncology, respiratory and immunology and rare disease offsetting loss of exclusivity for Farxiga and Brilinta.

The company reaffirmed its 2026 guidance, expecting total revenue to grow by a mid-to-high single-digit percentage and core EPS to grow by a low double-digit percentage at constant exchange rates.

AstraZeneca also reported 12 positive Phase III readouts so far this year and 47 approvals in major regions since its fourth-quarter 2025 results, including first approvals for four new medicines.

“Our rich series of upcoming readouts in 2027 has a potential of more than twenty billion dollars,” CEO Pascal Soriot said.

AZN Price Action: AstraZeneca shares were up 3.23% at $174.99 in premarket trading Friday, according to Benzinga Pro data.
