The Ministry of Civil Affairs recently issued the “Guidelines for Cancellation of Social Organizations” to further improve the social organization withdrawal mechanism and promote the cancellation of social organizations in an orderly manner in accordance with the law. The “Guidelines for Cancellation of Social Organizations” clearly state that when a social organization, foundation, or private non-enterprise unit is terminated, it generally has to go through three main processes: dissolution, liquidation, and deregistration.
