On October 30, the Earth System Data International Exchange Node was launched at the 2026 Global Digital Commerce Conference. It will undertake functions such as cross-border data circulation, international meteorological services, and regional coordination support to promote the “going overseas” of China's meteorological data. The node provides localized meteorological product development and intelligent warning services for the joint construction of “Belt and Road” national meteorological agencies to support the implementation of the “Mazu” program; carries out international meteorological data exchange, joint research and development of forecasting models, and collaborative iteration of early warning plans for international meteorological agencies and disaster prevention and mitigation entities; and provides standardized processing of overseas meteorological data and customized product services to domestic enterprises and scientific research institutions. In the future, it will continue to enrich the supply of high-value data. The meteorological department will further speed up the deployment of the “Mazu” data base regional support platform and carry out trial operation of customized early warning products for the “Belt and Road” countries in Asia and Africa.
