SanDisk Chairman and CEO David Goeckeler said in the FY2027 first quarter conference call on Thursday EST, “Overall, we have learned from customers that they have underestimated the NAND flash memory capacity needed to run the infrastructure. Currently, not only are many old customers adding orders, but new customers are also constantly pouring in. “We now have a strong supply channel until 2030 and beyond.” Currently, about 50% of SanDisk's production capacity in FY2027 has been locked in new business module projects, and this ratio will rise to about two-thirds in 2028. Management anticipates that the NBM project reserves will exceed the company's supply by the end of this decade.
