TSMC announced a 53.3% year-on-year increase in August revenue. Under the huge demand brought about by global AI infrastructure construction, it is difficult for the company to meet customer needs. TSMC's August revenue reached NT$514.8 billion. Analysts on average expect revenue to increase by 46.8% this quarter. The chipmaker preferred by Nvidia and Apple recently said that even though new plants are being built at an unprecedented rate, capacity expansion is still unable to keep up with demand. Hou Yongqing, the company's deputy co-operating director, said that it is now almost four or five times what it used to be, and efforts to catch up are still unable to meet demand. He also said that since the end of last year, the company's demand for chip manufacturing equipment has nearly doubled.
