AstraZeneca, CSPC Pharmaceutical Group Form JV for Biologics Manufacturing Facility in China

08:42 AM EDT, 08/05/2026 (MT Newswires) -- China-based CSPC Pharmaceutical Group said Wednesday it signed a joint venture agreement with British drugmaker AstraZeneca (AZN.L, AZN.ST) to build a biologics manufacturing facility in Shijiazhuang, China. Under the agreement, CSPC will contribute 51% of the capital, while AstraZeneca will provide the remaining 49%. They will jointly manage the construction and daily operations of the joint venture, which will initially focus on the manufacturing and supply of mutually agreed-upon biologics drug substances.
