Pingdingshan also became the fourth cargo navigation city in Henan after Zhoukou, Xinyang, and Luohe. The Shaying River is an important part of the country's high-grade waterway network, and it is also a golden waterway connecting the river to the sea. Pingdingshan Port is the westernmost inland river port in Henan, covering a total area of 562.8 acres, with 11 berths in the north-south port area, with an annual design throughput capacity of 4.35 million tons. Relying on the Shaying River Waterway and the Huai River Ecological Economic Belt, it can radiate the entire western Henan region and northwest inland provinces such as Shaanxi and Shanxi, and efficiently carry diversified cargo transportation such as ore, chemical materials, steel, cement and containers, injecting strong momentum into the regional logistics system.
