Event Contract Withdrawals

How do I withdraw funds through my linked brokerage account?

Your Event Contract account shares its buying power with your linked brokerage account. Webull moves funds between the two automatically when needed, so you do not transfer money into or out of the Event account yourself.

To withdraw proceeds from event contract trading, you request a withdrawal from your linked brokerage account in the usual way. Your Event account has its own account number, which appears on statements, but it has no separate withdrawal process.

When can I withdraw proceeds from a closed position?

If you sell a contract before it resolves, the proceeds from that sale can immediately be withdrawn through your linked brokerage account. This applies whether you sold at a gain or a loss. Buying power used in open orders is locked and cannot be withdrawn until the order fills (usually spending the funds and making them ineligible for withdrawal) or is canceled.

When can I withdraw settlement payouts?

Proceeds from contracts that have resolved are available to withdraw on the same day they are credited. Settlement happens only after the exchange officially determines the outcome, so a payout cannot be withdrawn until the contract has settled. The time between an event ending and its settlement is covered in the settlement section.
