Grid Trading

What is Grid Trading?

Grid Trading is an automated trading strategy that places a series of buy and sell orders at predetermined price intervals within a specified price range. The strategy operates continuously and executes trades automatically based on market price movements, creating a "grid" of trades within the defined parameters.

Risk Reminder: If the market enters a strong downward trend, you may experience losses.

What are the key parameters for Grid Trading?

  • Lower Price – The lowest price at which trades will execute.
  • Upper Price – The highest price at which trades will execute.
  • Number of Grids – The number of price levels within your grid. This determines how frequently trades occur and the price distance between each trade. The system will suggest a suitable range based on the asset's current price and your selected price range. Your entry must fall within the recommended range.
  • Grid Mode – The default setting is Arithmetic (equal price difference between levels), but you may switch to Geometric (equal percentage difference between levels).
  • Trade Amount – The total amount you wish to invest in the strategy. The system will recommend a minimum trade amount based on your grid settings. You cannot enter an amount below this minimum.

Advanced Settings (Optional)

  • Take Profit Exit Price – If the price reaches this level, the strategy automatically stops to secure profits. This value must be higher than both the upper grid price and the current bid price.
  • Stop Loss Exit Price – If the price falls to this level, the strategy automatically stops to limit further losses. This value must be lower than both the lower grid price and the current bid price.
  • Sell All on Stop – This option is enabled by default, meaning all positions will be sold when the strategy stops. If disabled, positions will be retained in your account after the grid is deactivated. You will still have the option to sell all positions when deactivating your grid, even if this feature is turned off.

Can I create multiple Grid Trades?

If you set up multiple grid strategies, orders within each individual strategy are executed separately and will not be combined with orders from another grid strategy for execution.
