Account Closure & Reopening

How do I close my Webull Pay Crypto Account?

Closing your crypto trading account will permanently restrict all activity, and you will not be able to reopen or reactivate the same account. This will permanently remove your personal data from your customer view, including past activity history, statements, and tax documents. If you need any historical records from your closed account, contact customer support at support@webull.com.


Note: If you live outside of New York, Guam, and the Northern Mariana Islands, you can open a new crypto trading account by completing the onboarding process again.


What are the steps to close my crypto account?


App:

  1. Click on the Webull logo in the bottom center of the home screen.
  2. Click the Account Management button in the top right corner.
  3. Locate the Crypto Account and select Close Crypto Account.
  4. Verify using your trading password, Face ID, or fingerprint.
  5. Agree to the closure terms.
  6. Tap Agree to confirm.

Note: It takes up to 48 hours to complete the closure.


Can I cancel my crypto account closure request?

Yes. You can cancel the request within 48 hours of submitting it.


App:

  1. Click on the Webull logo in the bottom center of the home screen.
  2. Click the Account Management button in the top right corner.
  3. Locate the Crypto Account and select Close Crypto Account.
  4. Tap Cancel Closing Account.
  5. Then click Confirm on the notice.

Can I Reopen or Open a new Crypto account?

Once a crypto trading account is closed, it cannot be reactivated or reopened. The original account is permanently deactivated.


If you live outside of New York, Guam, and the Northern Mariana Islands, you may open a new crypto trading account at any time by completing the standard onboarding process. Please note that the new account will not be linked to your previous one. Any prior trade history, deposits, or statements will not carry over.


If you need access to records from your closed crypto account, contact customer support at support@webull.com before deleting your Webull Pay ID. Once your Webull Pay ID is deleted, historical data cannot be retrieved.


To open a new crypto trading account, you must meet the following requirements:


  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Have a valid U.S. government-issued ID (driver’s license, state ID, passport, green card, or work authorization card).
  • Provide your Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).
  • Have a U.S. residential address.
  • Be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid U.S. visa (such as F1, H1B, L1, or O1).
  • Have a U.S. mobile phone number.
  • Agree to all Webull terms and policies.

How can I delete all my information from Webull Pay?

After closing your crypto trading account, you can permanently delete your Webull Pay ID to remove all associated personal data from our systems. This action will erase all records linked to your Webull Pay profile, including your activity history, trade records, statements, and tax documents.


Once your Webull Pay ID is deleted, customer support will not be able to recover any previous data or records. Please make sure to download or save any information you may need before proceeding.


To delete your Webull Pay ID:


App:

  1. Log in to the Webull Pay app.
  2. Tap the Account icon.
  3. Select Account Management.
  4. Tap Delete Webull Pay ID.
  5. Verify using your trading password, Face ID, or fingerprint.
