What should I know about micro-deposit verification?

Here are some best practices to ensure a smooth bank linking process using the micro-deposit method:


  • Confirm ACH transfer support: Check with your bank to ensure it supports ACH transfers.
  • Monitor your account: Regularly check your online banking for micro-deposits, as banks may not always notify you.
  • Retry verification: If you don’t see the micro-deposits, retry the verification process after two business days or consider using real-time verification.
  • Alternative bank account: If both verification methods fail, try linking an alternative bank account.
  • Micro-deposit issuance: The clearing firm will issue and retract two micro-deposits within 48 hours. The timing and amounts will be known only to you and your bank.
  • Weekend processing: If you start the verification process over the weekend, expect the deposits to arrive within the next two business days.
  • One deposit visible: If you only see one deposit, your bank might have merged them. Contact your bank to get the specific deposit amounts. While obtaining the amounts, please ensure that you confirm the deposits in the order they were received.
  • Attempts and corrections: You have three attempts to enter the micro-deposit amounts correctly. If the first attempt fails, reverse the order of the amounts. If multiple verification requests were made, wait for the latest deposits to appear before retrying.

What should I know about instant verification?

The following is a list of best practices for linking your bank through instant verification:


  • Confirm bank information: Verify that the bank account is a U.S. account. If it’s not supported, switch to micro-deposit verification.
  • Try again later: Technical issues at the bank may cause errors. Retry the process later.
  • Use a different bank account: Attempt to link an account from another bank or financial institution.
  • Switch verification method: To switch your ACH binding method, please call or message us via the in-app help center. You can also use micro-deposit as a verification method.
  • Credit unions and regional banks: Certain credit unions and regional banks may not support real-time verification. Please use micro-deposit verification to link your bank.
