How can I take a distribution from my IRA?

You can request a distribution using the Webull mobile app, website, desktop platform, or by submitting a form for special distribution types like check requests or excess contribution removals.

For step-by-step instructions on using each digital platform, please refer to the relevant section below.

App:

1. Tap the Webull logo (bottom center).
2. Select your desired IRA account.
3. Tap Transfers ➝ Transfer Money
4. Tap the switch button to switch the transfer direction and choose ACH, Wire, or a Webull Account to receive the funds.
5. Enter the distribution amount and reason.
6. Tap Review and Submit.

Desktop:

1. Hover over the icons on the left and click Account (if hidden, click on More).
2. Within the Banking widget, click Distribution.
3. Select your IRA in the dropdown and choose ACH, Wire, or a Webull Account to receive the funds.
4. Enter the distribution amount and reason.
5. Click Review and Submit.

Web:

1. Navigate to My Account (top right).
2. Select Transfer Money.
3. Select your IRA in the dropdown, click the switch button to switch the transfer direction and choose ACH, Wire, or a Webull Account to receive the funds.
4. Enter the distribution amount and reason.
5. Click Review and Submit.

When do I need to complete a form for my IRA distribution?

Forms are required for the following distribution types:

• Check distributions
• Removal of excess contributions (for current or prior year)
• Disability distributions
• Distributions requiring a Net Income Attributable (NIA) calculation

Use the appropriate form based on your IRA type:

Traditional and Rollover IRA

IRA Distribution form

Roth IRA

Roth IRA Distribution form

Submit completed forms through the in-app Help Center or email to IRA@webull.com.

How long will it take to receive my distribution?

• ACH Transfer: 3–4 business days
• Wire Transfer: 1–2 business days
• Internal Transfer (to another Webull account): Same or next business day
• Check: 7–10 business days
