Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

What is Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security for your account by requiring a verification code sent to your registered phone number when you log in from a new or unrecognized device. This extra layer of security helps prevent unauthorized access even if someone obtains your password. After you successfully complete 2FA on a device, it becomes a trusted device, allowing quicker future logins without repeating the verification step.

How do I verify my first trade on WebTrade?

When placing your first trade on a new device through our web platform (WebTrade), you must complete a one-time authorization for security. When you submit your first trade, a pop-up will appear displaying a 4-digit verification code. You will need to enter this code on your mobile or desktop app within 10 minutes to authorize trading on this device. After verification, you will not need to verify future trades on this device. If the pop-up to enter the code does not appear on your mobile or desktop app, follow these steps to locate it:

App:

  1. Navigate to Menu → Messages → Safety Reminder → Check Now.
  2. Enter the verification code.

Desktop:

  1. Navigate to Contact Us → Messages → Safety Reminder → Check Now.
  2. Enter the verification code.

If you haven’t logged into the mobile or desktop app before, the code will be sent via text to your registered number.
