Every brokerage app claims to be “AI-powered” these days. Webull has backed up our claims with a genuinely layered product lineup — not one chatbot bolted onto a trading screen, but a stack of tools covering research, portfolio review, trade execution, and even developer access, all built toward one goal: making AI available across Webull’s whole ecosystem. 

If you’ve opened Webull recently and noticed Vega updates, AI-generated reports, or new ways to connect your account to external AI assistants, here’s a clear breakdown of the AI tools Webull currently offers, what each one does, and which features are available today.  

Vega: The Free AI Decision Partner at the Core 

Vega is Webull’s AI-powered decision partner, delivering real-time, personalized insights to help investors navigate the complexities of modern trading. It’s available at no cost, making powerful investing intelligence accessible to everyone — for now, exclusively to Webull’s U.S. customers. 

Vega isn’t one button — it’s a set of features that show up across the app: 

• Data Summary — in-depth, contextual analysis of market data in one unified place, so you’re not bouncing between tabs to piece together a picture. 

• Portfolio Review — evaluates your portfolio against your own stated behavior and goals, flagging misalignments and suggesting adjustments. 

• Plain-Language Orders — place trades with natural voice commands, with live interpreted details shown before you confirm. 

• Vega Insights — real-time, personalized analysis and alerts tied to your watchlists and portfolios. 

• Options Statistics Insights — flags unusual options activity you might otherwise miss. 

The design philosophy is refreshing for a trading app: Vega combines market analysis with education, translating complex technical signals and financial reports into explanations anyone can understand — streamlined enough for newcomers, deep enough for seasoned traders navigating complex strategies. 

Vega Analyst: Build Your Own Report 

If Vega is the ambient layer, Vega Analyst is for when you want to go deep on one specific stock. Launched in May 2026, it’s a modular report builder rather than a generic AI summary. 

Vega Analyst delivers customized, real-time stock analysis based on preferences you select yourself. You pick the lens you care about — fundamentals, financial performance, valuation, market context, technical trends, or risk — and the AI builds around it, choosing from modules like company overview, financial analysis, industry analysis, valuation analysis, key events, technical analysis, and risk alerts. Reports generate in real time using the latest market data, with depth determined by how many modules you activate. Webull frames it as a response to information overload: the goal isn’t to dump more data on investors, but to help them understand what actually matters. 

One thing worth knowing: this tool isn’t fully free. Vega Analyst runs on a paid credit system, though Webull offers a limited number of free reports. 

Vega Portfolio: The Newest Addition 

Unveiled this month at Webull’s mid-year investor event in New York, Vega Portfolio is billed as the next evolution of Vega. Where Vega Analyst zooms in on a single stock, Vega Portfolio zooms out to your entire book — researching securities, analyzing portfolios, and interpreting market events with personalized AI guidance, while keeping you in control of your own strategy. 

Webull is explicit that this is guidance, not gospel: Vega Portfolio and related AI tools are for informational and educational purposes only, not investment advice, and AI outputs may contain errors Webull doesn’t guarantee to be accurate or complete.  

Webull MCP Server: Trade Through Any AI Assistant 

This is the feature that separates Webull from most competitors, aimed at people who want their trading connected to any AI tool, not just Webull’s own. 

In June 2026, Webull announced the successful launch of its Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, which had quietly gone live in April and has since let clients interact with Webull’s OpenAPI using natural-language AI commands — no programming knowledge required. In plain terms: MCP is the open standard that lets AI assistants connect to outside tools and data. Through it, AI agents can query real-time market data, view balances and positions, place and modify orders, and pull order history through plain language. 

That’s a meaningful shift — the coding barrier that used to gate API-based trading is gone, with more markets reportedly on the way. It’s not theoretical, either: active traders had already been using the MCP server for months by the time Webull made the announcement. As Group President and U.S. CEO Anthony Denier put it, AI is changing how people engage with markets, and MCP is Webull positioning itself at the front of that shift. 

Beyond the App: Connecting Claude, ChatGPT, and Grok

The MCP server is the plumbing behind a growing list of official AI connectors, and this list is moving fast: 

• Claude — Webull’s Claude connector has been published, so U.S. users can add Webull straight from Claude’s connector directory instead of pasting in a custom URL. Once linked via OAuth, Claude can pull live positions, balances, and market data, and place or manage trades in plain language. 

• ChatGPT — A Webull plugin for ChatGPT has now been published as well, bringing the same natural-language account access to ChatGPT’s app ecosystem. 

• Grok — A Grok AI connector has also been built and published, extending the same access to xAI’s assistant. 

This makes Webull one of the few brokerages betting on every major AI assistant rather than locking users into one first-party chatbot. The access works the same way regardless of assistant: connect via OAuth, your credentials stay with Webull, and the assistant queries your account through the same underlying MCP server that powers Webull’s agentic trading page. Because this space moves quickly, treat exact availability as a moving target and check the current status before assuming an integration is live. 

Where This Leaves You as a Retail Trader 

Two things are worth remembering. First, Webull is consistent about the guardrails: most AI tools are informational and educational, while Vega Portfolio is expected to provide personalized investment insights within Webull Advisor’s framework; across all tools, users should still understand the scope, limitations, and potential for AI-generated errors.  Second, the direction of travel is obvious — Webull’s vision is to embed AI throughout the investing experience while keeping investors in control of their own decisions. 

If you’ve mainly used Webull for charts and order tickets so far, Vega and Vega Analyst are the two features worth opening today. Everything else — Vega Portfolio, and the newly published Claude, ChatGPT, and Grok connectors, plus Webull Institutional — is where the platform is clearly headed next.
