Northam Platinum Holdings Limited is a South Africa-based integrated platinum group metal (PGM) producer. The Company's segments include Northam Holdings, the Zondereinde operations, the Booysendal operations, the Eland operations, and the US recycling operations. Its primary products are platinum, palladium, and rhodium. The primary consumers of these metals are the motor manufacturing industry, the jewelry industry, and other industrial sectors. The mining right covers over 9 257 hectares and is underlain by both the Merensky and UG2 Reefs. The Booysendal mining right covers approximately 17 950 hectares and hosts both the Merensky and UG2 Reefs, which outcrop over a strike length of 14.5 km. The Eland mine is located in the south-eastern portion of the western limb of the Bushveld Complex, some 70 km north of Johannesburg and 12 km east of Brits, in the North-West Province of South Africa. The Company holds interest in Northam Recovery Services in US recycling operation.
