Alexco Resource Corp. is a silver company that owns and operates the Keno Hill Silver District, in Canada’s Yukon Territory. The Company operates through two segments: mining operations and reclamation management. The mining operations segment includes the production of silver, lead and zinc concentrates, underground mining development, and exploration and evaluation activities. The reclamation management services are focused on the clean-up of historical liabilities of the Keno Hill Silver District through Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) under a contract with the Federal Government of Canada. Its Keno Hill Silver District (KHSD) project is located near the village of Keno City, approximately 350 kilometers north of Whitehorse, Yukon. The project contains four separate deposits: Bellekeno, Bermingham, Flame & Moth, and Lucky Queen. Its subsidiary includes Alexco Keno Hill Mining Corp., which is engaged in the operation of mineral extraction and development in the KHSD.
