UK Stocks-Factors to watch on Sept 15


- Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening higher on Friday, with futures FFIc1 up 0.51%.


* SHELL: Shell Plc SHEL.L said it has identified a cybersecurity incident involving some employees who worked with company's unit BG Group in Australia before merger, becoming latest victim of MOVEit hack.

* BP: The chair of BP BP.L Helge Lund has ruled himself out as the oil giant's chief executive, The Financial Times reported.

* TRINIDAD: Shell PLC SHEL.L has given financial approval for development of massive Manatee gas field offshore Trinidad and Tobago, country's Prime Minister Keith Rowley said.

* METAL: Copper prices were firmer in Asian trade, on track for weekly gains, as top metals consumer China boosted policy support for a sputtering economic recovery.

* OIL: Oil prices rose and are set for third weekly gain, as better-than-expected Chinese economic data and reports of record oil consumption bolstered view that demand in world's second-largest crude consumer will continue to surge.

* GOLD: Gold prices gained as dollar eased against yuan after promising China economic data boosted recovery hopes in world's top bullion consumer, although possibility of further U.S. interest rate hikes kept investors on edge.

* The UK's FTSE 100 hit its highest in six weeks on Thursday after European Central Bank signalled an end to its monetary tightening cycle, while industrial metal miners led gains after surge in iron ore prices.
