Kenya's shilling hits low; energy, manufacturing sectors apply pressure

- The Kenyan shilling KES= hit a low against the dollar early on Wednesday before recovering, but it was expected to soon weaken again because of dollar demand from the manufacturing and energy sectors, traders said.

At 0808 GMT, commercial banks quoted the shilling at 121.85/122.05, compared with Tuesday's close of 121.90/122.10.

In early trade, the shilling touched 121.95/122.15 against the dollar, a fresh all-time low, according to Refinitiv data.
