CBOT corn ends higher on reports of Russian missiles in Poland

- Chicago Board of Trade corn futures ended higher on Tuesday as reports of Russian missiles crossing into Poland unnerved grain markets, traders said.

  • CBOT December corn CZ2 advanced 9-1/2 cents to close at $6.66-3/4 a bushel.

  • A senior U.S. intelligence official said Russian missiles crossed into Poland, killing two people, the Associated Press reported on Tuesday.

  • Grain traders said they were waiting for Russia to make a statement about the report of missiles striking Poland, a NATO country, which could increase tensions in the region.

  • Private exporters reported the sale of 230,185 tonnes of U.S. corn to Mexico for delivery in the 2022/23 marketing year, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said.
