This New Psychedelic Therapy Program Will Accompany Patients In Their Healing Journey For A Whole Year
Psychedelics-assisted therapy provider Field Trip Health & Wellness Ltd. has launched Freedom by Field Trip, a novel and unmatched one-year hybrid program combining ketamine-assisted therapy (KAP) with holistic wellness support.
Initially available in California and Washington state, non-psychedelic activities will include meditations, nutrition classes, integration therapy, breathwork, somatic movement therapy, community talks and membership events.
Ketamine sessions may be taken at home or in one of Field Trip’s locations. This hybrid is designed to increase treatment accessibility for those suffering from mild to moderate depression, anxiety or trauma, and intends to provide support through a holistic approach to mental health and well-being.
Field Trip’s CEO and chairman Ronan Levy said: “When you live in a world where a quarter of your community will experience depression, yet antidepressants perform no better than placebo in 85 percent of cases, we don’t just need new medicines, we need a whole new approach to mental health.”
Levy added that the company’s current in-person KAP program provides immediate and noticeable improvement for 93% of patients, the majority of whom sustain their progress for more than four months.
“This led us to launch Freedom by Field Trip, which enables us to expand beyond our physical footprint and amplify the power of our therapies with flexibility, accessibility and a truly holistic approach to healing,” he concluded.
Field Trip’s VP of integrated health and a practicing physician herself, Dr. Monique Moller further added that the new program’s design redefines ways of treating depression, anxiety, trauma and other mental health conditions.
“While there is no magic bullet for mental health, this is the kind of innovation the world needs: the power of psychedelic therapies combined with other healing modalities, all with significantly fewer barriers," Moller said. "It gives people the freedom to access deeper, more complete healing so they can live their lives free of depression, anxiety and trauma.”
Details On The Year-Round Treatment Proposal
The new program provides up to 12 annual ketamine exploration dosing sessions accompanied with medical supervision and one-on-one integration therapy sessions, plus unlimited group integration sessions with licensed therapists.
Its three “chapters” are set to be delivered on a week-by-week basis to optimize the ketamine’s effects, enhance neuroplasticity and improve mental wellness.
Chapter 1 - “Awaken”- takes place in months 1-3, when patients follow Field Trip’s KAP protocol with six low-dose ketamine explorations towards introspective thinking and removing mental obstacles, paired with integration therapy, journaling, meditation and wellness classes.
Chapter 2 -”Strengthen”- is set for months 4-6 through continued classes, one-on-one therapy, group integration circles and daily practice towards creating and strengthening healthier thought patterns and experiencing an increase in neuroplasticity.
Chapter 3 -”Deepen”- takes place in months 7-12, when patients are invited to continue weekly wellness programming and potentially complete six additional ketamine explorations to enhance personal growth, extend the results of treatment and solidify the ongoing progress.
