CBOT soybeans firm on hot, dry U.S. forecast

- Chicago Board of Trade soybean futures rallied for a fourth day on Wednesday as forecasts for hot, dry weather heading into August could limit soybean yields as crops enter a crucial development phase, analysts said.

  • CBOT August soybeans SQ2 gained 46 cents to $15.78-3/4 a bushel, while November soybeans SX2 added 26-1/4 cents to $14.10 a bushel.

  • CBOT's most-active November soybean contract climbed to $14.16-1/2 a bushel, it's highest since July 12.

  • CBOT's Most-active December soyoil futures BOZ2 firmed 1.24 cents to 59.19 cents per lb, while CBOT December soymeal SMZ2 gained $8.30 to $426.10 per short ton.
