Tech stocks have also gained following earnings results from Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) and Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) (NASDAQ:GOOG).

Also, per Reuters, the U.S. Senate on Wednesday has enough votes to approve the multi-billion-dollar bill boosting semiconductor manufacturing.
