Tunisia's Q1 energy trade deficit widens 87% to $633 million

- Tunisia's energy trade deficit in the first quarter widened by 87% from the same period last year to 1.930 billion dinars ($633 million), the energy ministry said on Saturday.

The energy trade deficit was about 1.031 billion dinars at the end of March 2021.

Due to a 9% decline in oil and gas production, the energy deficit widened to 1.2 million tonnes of oil equivalent from to 1 million tonnes of oil equivalent a year earlier.
