Brazil's 12-month current account deficit at 1.23% of GDP in August- cenbank

- Brazil's 12-month current account deficit was 1.23% of GDP in August, according to the central bank.

In August, the current account balance was $1.68 billion, above the $1 billion expected by analysts polled by Reuters. The country attracted $4.45 billion in foreign direct investment in the month, below $6 billion predicted by analysts polled by Reuters.
