Deals of the day-Mergers and acquisitions
Sept 24 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals were reported by 0930 GMT on Friday:
** Japanese financial conglomerate SBI Holdings SBHGF said it would extend the deadline for its $1.1 billion unsolicited tender offer for Shinsei Bank SKLKY to Nov. 24 from Oct. 25 if Shinsei agreed to meet certain conditions.
** An investment arm of Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group Holding Ltd BABA, targeted in a regulatory crackdown, will divest its entire stake of 5.01% in broadcaster Mango Excellent Media Co Ltd 300413.SZ, the media firm said.
** Royal Dutch Shell RDS A, through subsidiaries Shell Egypt and Shell Austria, has completed the sale of upstream assets in Egypt's Western Desert to Cheiron Petroleum Corporation and Cairn Energy CRNCY, it said.
** Commercial landlord Land Securities LDSCY said it sold two retail parks for 54.3 million pounds ($74.42 million), as part of a plan to exit non-core businesses as the pandemic reshapes the sector.
** Spain's Criteria, the largest shareholder in energy firm Naturgy GASNF, said its board had decided not to tender its 26% stake in the partial takeover bid launched by the Australian fund IFM for Naturgy.
** Brazilian state-run power company Centrais Eletricas Brasileiras SA EBR, Latin America's largest utility, said that its Eletronorte unit received 740.4 million reais ($139.61 million) for a tag-along sale of shares in Norte Brasil Transmissora de Energia SA (NBTE).
