Moderna to Supply 25 Million Doses of COVID-19 Vaccine to Australian Government
07:17 AM EDT, 05/12/2021 (MT Newswires) -- Moderna (MRNA) said Wednesday it has agreed to supply 25 million doses of its COVID-19 vaccine to the government of Australia.
The supply will include 10 million doses of its COVID-19 vaccine against the ancestral strain of the virus, which will be delivered this year, and 15 million doses of its updated variant booster vaccine candidate to be delivered in 2022, according to the statement.
The purchase is subject to regulatory approval of the vaccine against the ancestral variant, as well as the booster vaccine candidates by the Therapeutic Goods Administration of Australia. Moderna said it expects to submit an application with the Australian regulator shortly.
