EDAP Swings to Surprise Profit in Q1 Following Surge in Sales
04:49 PM EDT, 05/11/2021 (MT Newswires) -- EDAP (EDAP) reported Q1 earnings per share of EUR0.03 ($0.04), versus a loss of EUR0.04 a year ago.
Analysts polled by Capital IQ had expected a loss of $0.03 per share.
Record Q1 revenue of EUR10.3 million ($12.4 million) represented a surge of more than 35% year-over-year. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ had projected revenue of $11.4 million.
"We are acutely focused on driving accelerating growth in the US by building market access and coverage now that our Category 1 CPT code is in place," CEO Marc Oczachowski said. "We also continue to advance our Phase 2 endometriosis program and have now opened a second trial site in France where we commenced patient treatments last week."
