European ADRs Move Sharply Lower in Tuesday Trading
11:19 AM EDT, 05/11/2021 (MT Newswires) -- American depositary receipts of European stocks were trading 1.37% lower at 1,120.11 on the S&P/BNY Mellon Europe Select ADR Index on Tuesday.
In continental Europe, the gainers were led by biopharmaceutical companies Cellectis (CLLS) and Biofrontera (BFRA), which rose 6.9% and 3.7% respectively. They were followed by 3D printer companies voxeljet (VJET) and Materialise (MTLS), which increased 4.7% and 5%.
The decliners in continental Europe were led by biometrics company IDEX Biometrics (IDBA) and furniture maker Natuzzi (NTZ), which fell 6.2% and 5.3% respectively. They were followed by dating app owner Spark Networks (LOV) and biopharmaceutical company ERYTECH Pharma (ERYP), which dropped 5.0% and 4.7%.
In the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by biotech firm Autolus Therapeutics (AUTL) and pharmaceutical company Avadel Pharmaceuticals (AVDL) which rose 2.7% and 4.4% respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical companies Bicycle Therapeutics (BCYC) and Adaptimmune Therapeutics plc (ADAP), which were up 2.5% and 1.6% respectively.
The decliners in the UK and Ireland were led by data and analytics provider RELX (RELX) and insurance firm Prudential (PUK), which lost 3.5% each. They were followed by airline operator Ryanair Holdings (RYAAY) and cruise line operator Carnival Corporation (CUK), which fell 2.7% each.
