Blink Charging Buys Blue Corner For $24 Million; Forms New Company in Amsterdam to Support European Expansion
10:08 AM EDT, 05/11/2021 (MT Newswires) -- Blink Charging (BLNK), an electric vehicle charging company, said Tuesday it has purchased Belgium-based electric vehicle charging operator Blue Corner and its portfolio of 7,071 charging ports in a cash-and-stock deal valued at 20 million euros ($24 million).
The acquisition will give Blink Charging the complete operational control of Blue Corner and its EV charging assets. Blue Corner's chargers are located across Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and France.
Meanwhile, the company also formed Blink Holdings B.V., which is based in Amsterdam, to help drive the expansion of Blink Charging's presence in Europe, according to the statement.
