Duke Energy Posts Higher Q1 Results; Reaffirms 2021 Adjusted EPS Outlook
07:11 AM EDT, 05/10/2021 (MT Newswires) -- Duke Energy (DUK) posted Q1 adjusted earnings Monday of $1.26 per share, up from $1.14 per share a year earlier. Analysts polled by Capital IQ projected adjusted EPS of $1.21.
Operating revenue was $6.15 billion for the quarter ended March 31, up from $5.95 billion a year ago. The Street forecast was $6.21 billion.
Looking ahead, the company reaffirmed its 2021 adjusted EPS guidance of $5 to $5.30, compared with the consensus estimate of $5.17. The long-term adjusted EPS growth rate is still expected to be between 5% and 7% through 2025.
