Kroger Co. on Friday said it will pay $100 to associates who receive a Covid-19 vaccination.

The one-time payment will be given to "all associates who receive the full manufacturer-recommended doses of the Covid-19 vaccine."

The company also said, "Associates who cannot receive the vaccine due to medical or religious reasons will have the option of completing an educational health and safety course to receive the payment."

Also on Friday, the company said it will invest $50 million "to thank and reward associates." Kroger said hourly frontline grocery, supply chain, manufacturing, pharmacy and call center associates will be given a $100 store credit and 1,000 fuel points. The rewards will be added to associates' loyalty cards on Feb. 11, the company said.
