European ADRs Nudge Higher in Friday Trading
11:12 AM EST, 02/05/2021 (MT Newswires) -- American depositary receipts of European stocks were trading 0.16% higher at 1,030.08 on the S&P/BNY Mellon Europe Select ADR Index on Friday.
In continental Europe, the gainers were led by 3D printer company voxeljet (VJET) and hotel booking site trivago (TRVG), which climbed 14% and 7.5% respectively. They were followed by furniture maker Natuzzi (NTZ) and biotech firm Zealand Pharma (ZEAL), which rose 5.4% and 4.3%.
The decliners in continental Europe were led by biopharmaceutical company ERYTECH Pharma (ERYP) and telecommunications company Nokia Corporation (NOK), which fell 3.3% and 2.1% respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company Genfit (GNFT) and consumer goods company Unilever (UL), which dropped 1.9% and 1.7%.
In the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by biopharmaceutical Adaptimmune Therapeutics (ADAP) and airplane leassor Fly Leasing Limited (FLY), which rose 6.2% and 3.3% respectively. Also rising were followed by medical device maker EDAP TMS (EDAP) and pharmaceutical firm Avadel Pharmaceuticals (AVDL), which were up 4.5% and 3.7%.
The decliners in the UK and Ireland were led by biotech company Autolus Therapeutics (AUTL) and biopharmaceutical firm Mereo BioPharma Group plc (MREO), which fell 3.8% and 3.7% respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical companies NuCana (NCNA) and Bicycle Therapeutics (BCYC), which dropped 2.5% and 1.3%.
