Asian ADRs Move Higher in Friday Trading
10:45 AM EST, 02/05/2021 (MT Newswires) -- American depositary receipts of Asian stocks were trading 0.44% higher at 2,286.77 on the S&P/BNY Mellon Asia 50 ADR Index on Friday.
In North Asia, the gainers were led by mobile big data solutions platform Aurora Mobile Limited (JG) and financial technology platform Jiayin Group Inc. (JFIN), which rose 75% and 12% respectively. They were followed by travel company Tuniu Corporation (TOUR) and video game developer The9 Limited (NCTY), which increased 11% and 9.7%.
The decliners in North Asia were led by power management component maker O2Micro International Limited (OIIM) and consumer lending firm China Finance Online (JRJC), which fell 12% and 11% respectively. They were followed by online sports lottery service 500.com Limited (WBAI) and educational services provider Tarena International, Inc. (TEDU), which lost 9.4% and 5.7%.
In South Asia, the gainers were led by digital entertainment company Sea Limited (SE) and pharmaceutical company Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Limited (RDY), which rose 2.6% and 1.2% respectively. They were followed by biotech firm ASLAN Pharmaceuticals Limited (ASLN) and HDFC Bank Limited (HDB), which were up 0.7% and 0.6%.
The decliners in South Asia were led by IT firm Sify Technologies Limited (SIFY) and automaker Tata Motors Limited (TTM), which fell 10.5% and 4.8% respectively. They were followed by business process management services provider WNS Holdings (WNS) and ICICI Bank Limited (IBN), which were down 1.4% and 0.6%.
