Hillrom Q1 Adjusted Earnings, Revenue Rise; Raises Fiscal 2021 EPS Guidance
07:43 AM EST, 02/05/2021 (MT Newswires) -- Hill-Rom Holdings (HRC) reported Friday adjusted earnings of $1.53 per share compared with adjusted earnings of $1.13 per diluted share in the prior-year period. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected adjusted earnings of $1.05 per share.
The result exceeded the company's guidance range, which had been for adjusted earnings of between $1.05 and $1.10 per diluted share.
The medical technology company said revenue was $741.1 million for the quarter ended Dec.31, compared with $685 million in the prior-year period. The Street expected revenue of $654.4 million.
For 2021, the company said it expects revenue to increase 0% to 2%. It expects adjusted earnings of between $5.70 and $5.90 per diluted share. This compares to the company's previous guidance range, which had projected adjusted earnings of between $5.25 and $5.45 per diluted share.
For Q2 the company expects revenue to increase 0% to 2% and adjusted earnings of between $1.40 and $1.45 per diluted share.
