Blue River Holdings (00498) subsidiary spent HK$69.372 million to subscribe for 246 HCL shares

According to Zhitong Finance App News, Blue River Holdings (00498) announced that on March 13, 2025, the subscriber (Blue River Investments Limited, an indirect non-wholly-owned subsidiary of the company) participated in HCL's HCL share offering. According to this, the subscriber subscribed for 246 HCL shares on the basis of receiving 1 share for every 2 shares held, with a total subscription price of HK$69.372 million. The subscriber paid HK$69.372 million for the subscription in cash.

After completion, the subscribers held 739 HCL shares, maintaining the group's shareholding ratio. That is, the company's shareholding ratio in HCL remained unchanged before and after completion, accounting for about 34.7% of HCL's expanded share capital. HCL is still classified as an investment in associated companies and recorded under equity law.

According to reports, HCL's main business is investment holding. Hope Securities Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of HCL, is authorized to conduct regulated activities under the Securities and Futures Ordinance under the Securities and Futures Ordinance in Type 1 (trading in securities), Type 4 (advising on securities), Type 5 (advising on futures contracts) and Type 9 (providing asset management).
