According to the news, Dongfang Selection recently announced that it will recruit the manager of the Beijing Zhongguancun flagship store with a monthly salary of 15,000 to 30,000 yuan, marking its official entry into the offline community supermarket sector. The store covers an area of about 400 square meters. It specializes in fresh food, snacks, daily necessities, and ready-made 3R food and drinks. It is positioned as a convenient consumption scenario for community residents to “three meals a day”. According to our understanding, the popularity of digital tools has made demand forecasting and inventory management more accurate, and increased standardization of the supply chain has reduced operational difficulties. Oriental Selection has the unique advantage of entering the community market with its explosive product operation capabilities, digital foundation, and direct source procurement system accumulated by live e-commerce. The front-end warehouse model it has tried before has laid the foundation for online and offline integration.

According to public information, Oriental Selection has obtained a certain advantage in terms of self-operated products. Over the past year, the company invested more resources in the development of self-operated products and supply chain construction, and the proportion of self-operated products in total GMV increased year by year. In fiscal year 2025, the total GMV of Dongfang Select's proprietary products and live streaming e-commerce business was 8.7 billion yuan, of which self-operated products accounted for about 43.8% of the total GMV. Chief Financial Officer Yin Qiang revealed that Oriental Selection has launched a total of 732 self-operated products. The product category has expanded from the initial fresh food and snacks to a more diversified product line.
