The National Atomic Energy Agency website published news on December 4 that under the joint witness of Chinese President Xi Jinping and French President Emmanuel Macron, National Atomic Energy Agency Director Shan Zhongde and French Committee on Atomic Energy and Alternative Energy, Anna-Isabelle Etienvre, signed the “15th Protocol on Cooperation in the Peaceful Use of Nuclear Energy between the China National Atomic Energy Agency and the French Atomic Energy and Alternative Energy Commission”. According to the cooperation protocol, the two sides will strengthen cooperation in basic nuclear research, application of nuclear technology, nuclear fusion technology, nuclear energy market development in third countries, nuclear fuel cycle and radioactive waste management, nuclear security and nuclear emergency response, and training of nuclear professionals.
