Russian Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov said on the sidelines of the Russian-Indian Business Forum held in New Delhi on Thursday that Russia's current inflation trend is significantly lower than the Ministry's official forecast for 2025. When asked about the ministry's current forecast for inflation in 2025, he said, “We update our official forecast twice a year, and the rest are current assessment data. Of course, our current level of inflation is far below expectations.” In October, the Bank of Russia raised the 2025 inflation forecast from 6%-7% to 6.5%-7%, and the 2026 forecast from 4% to 4%-5%, delaying the expected time to achieve the inflation target until 2027.
