07:00 AM EST, 12/04/2025 (MT Newswires) -- The Bank of England on Thursday rolled out its stress test for private equity and private credit companies to identify potential risks to the UK's financial stability and the real economy. Participants in the system-wide exploratory scenario exercise include traditional and alternative asset managers, large banks providing credit to private market funds and private equity-sponsored corporates, and certain institutional investors that provide capital to private and related public markets. The central bank expects most of the exercise to be completed in 2026, with updates to be released over the course of the year. The findings will be published in a final report due in early 2027.
