The reporter learned from the 6th China Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Collaborative Innovation Platform Conference held a few days ago that Chinese researchers took the lead in forming the International Organization for Standardization Biotechnology Committee Organoid Working Group. The conference also held a launch ceremony for 2 international standards led by Chinese experts and the participation of many countries, as well as 5 group standards formulated by the Chinese Society of Cell Biology. According to our understanding, organoids are miniature tissue models based on stem cell culture in vitro and have similar structure and function to internal organs. They can accurately simulate the physiological state and disease progression of human organs, and are of great value in the biomedical field. It can be used for accurate disease diagnosis, personalized drug screening, etc., and can also help regenerative medicine research and open up new paths for human disease treatment and health protection.
