Hengmei Optoelectronics, owned by China's Haosheng Technology Group, signed a settlement document with South Korea's Samsung SDI on the 1st to formally complete the merger and acquisition of Samsung's SDI polarizer business. Hengmei Optoelectronics said that the scope of the deal includes Samsung SDI's polarizer production lines, business, personnel and intellectual property rights in South Korea and China. According to a public notice issued by Samsung SDI, the transaction amount is approximately 1.12 trillion won. The scope of sale includes Samsung SDI's polarizing film production and sales business in the Cheongju and Suwon regions of South Korea, as well as 100% of Samsung Electronic Materials Co., Ltd.
