As of August 31, 2025, the cumulative power generation capacity of the Three Gorges Power Station exceeded 1.8 trillion kilowatt-hours, which is equivalent to saving about 540 million tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 1.48 billion tons. A steady stream of clean electricity is delivered to central China, East China, Guangdong and other regions, providing a solid guarantee for the country's economic and social development and people's livelihood electricity needs. The total installed capacity of the Three Gorges Power Station reached 22.5 million kilowatts. Since the first unit was put into operation in 2003, it has always maintained a safe and stable operating state. The power plant built to meet the daily electricity needs of the Three Gorges Project successfully completed the technical upgrade of the industrial control system this year. Through comprehensive and in-depth upgrades to all core equipment, measuring components and software systems, the unit's resilience to risk and operational reliability have been further enhanced.
