Affected by Typhoon No. 8 of this year, “Zhujiecao,” it is expected that during the day to night, there will be large waves of 3 to 5 meters off the southern coast of Jiangsu, and 3 to 4 meters off the northern coast of Jiangsu; large to huge waves of 3 to 4.4 meters in the waters off the coast of Nantong; large waves of 2.5 to 3.5 meters in the coastal waters off Yancheng; and medium to large waves of 2 to 3 meters in the coastal waters off Lianyungang. According to the latest report from the Jiangsu Meteorological Department, from 9:00 to 10:00 today, extreme winds at 68 stations in 5 cities including Nantong, Suzhou, and Yancheng in Jiangsu reached level 8 or above. The top 3 land-based winds were 26.3 m/s of the Tongzhou Bay Branch of Nantong City, 24.8 m/s of the seawall in Rudong Town, and 24.4 m/s of Sanjiansha in Tongzhou Bay, Nantong City. The biggest wind at sea level was 27.2 m/s at 22 km east of Changsha Town in Nantong City.
