According to the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, on July 3, the 20th meeting of the Environmental Cooperation Sub-Committee of the Chinese and Russian Prime Ministers Meeting Committee was held in Tianjin. The conference heard reports on the work of the Pollution Prevention and Environmental Disaster Emergency Liaison Working Group, the EIA Expert Group, the Transboundary Water Quality Monitoring and Protection Working Group, the Transboundary Protected Areas and Biodiversity Protection Working Group, and the Solid Waste Management Cooperation Working Group, and reviewed and approved the work plans of the various working groups for 2025 to 2026. The two sides positively evaluated Russia's cooperation in the field of environmental protection over the past year and the results achieved by the various working groups and expert groups of the sub-committee.
